You know that moment your baking something in the oven and turn the oven light on rather than expel the heat by opening the oven door to check on whats cooking or baking in there... And then.. You reach for the oven handle because the glass just ain't see threw anymore. I am going to help you remedy that. It's not as hard as you think. It's not scarey. It doesn't even take a whole lot of time or tools. I suggest a stool or chair for backup though. With the oven we have now the door came all kinds apart. Having been in the appliance atmosphere for years (step-father) it didn't scare me none but I know those that see pieces come apart that don't think they are handy may panic a little. Don't worry though, you didn't break anything. Breath. Now open you oven door. At the top of the door there should be a screw on each side. Unscrew one at a time. Positioning stool or chair underneath just in case and for stabalization. Wow just look at all that gunk. Get cleaning. You can use oven cleaner, vinegar and baking soda, borax, I will later discuss homemade cleaners and such. Once clean, screw it back together and just sit back and say wow, why didn't I do this sooner.
